IntroductionAn activity stream is a publish-and-subscribe notification mechanism and conversation space. It lists activities relevant to it's entity be that a person, workspace, request, document or configuration item. A participant subscribes to, or “follows” entities to track their related activities. |

Activity streams have the following features:
Post | - start a discussion by writing a textual message |
Share image | - like a Post, but include an image, from a local file or a web address |
Share video | - like a Post, but include a web address that points to a video on YouTube or Vimeo - you can view it within the post |
Set visibility | - you can define who can see each post – its visibility – either all Co-workers (the default), or just members/followers |
Comment | - respond to a post - this can include an image or video, like a post |
Ask a Question | - a special type of Post that others can Answer. Other Co-workers can vote on which one they think is best, and the original poster has a casting vote, which brings that answer to the top and marks it as the Poster's Choice |
Like | - show your approval of a post or comment, and see who else liked it (you can also un-like) |
Translate | - You can translate a post or comment – either before you send it (if your language is different from the system default) or when you read it (if the post’s language is different from yours) |
Perform app-specific actions | - If you have other apps installed (such as Service Manager), and you have the rights, you may have other actions available on posts, such as Raise Request |
Mentions | - You can highlight a co-worker in the text of a post or a comment. |
If you not a member or follower, you can still:
Activity Streams appear in:-
- Your News Feed
- Your Buzz page
- Workspaces
- Documents in Document Manager
- Organisations
