Introduction

ITOM Manual List Discovery Job

The manual list allows for one or more device names or addresses to be used by the discovery process, entries can be in the form of any of the following:

  • FQDN or Hostname
computer01.acme.co.uk
computer01
  • IP Address
Single IP x.x.x.x
example: 192.168.1.1
IP range x.x.x.x-x
example: 192.168.0.1-254 provides a list 254 addresses (192.168.0.1 -> 192.168.0.254)
x.x.x.x-x.x
example: 192.168.0.1-255.254 provides a list 65534 addresses (192.168.0.1 -> 192.168.255.254)
  • CIDR
x.x.x.x/x
example: 192.168.0.0/24 provides a list 254 addresses (192.168.0.1 -> 192.168.0.254)
