KeySafe Configuration

In order to integrate with Dell, you will first need to configure, and securely store the authentication credentials for the Dell Account/s you want to use with the Hornbill App. (Dell api access requested from this site: https://techdirect.dell.com/Portal/APIs.aspx


Configure your Dell account authentication in KeySafe in order to use the Dell options.

In the admin console > System > Security > KeySafe

  • Click on +
  • In the Type field, select Dell Warranties
  • Give the API Key a title (this is the name/identifier for the Dell account as you will see it when using the Integration Call node in your business process)
  • Optionally add a description
  • The ClientID field should be populated with the clientID given when you signed up to Dell.
  • The Client Secret field should be populated with the client secret value taken given to you by Dell.
  • Click Create Key to save

Once you have your Dell account authorised, you're all set to use it with the Integration Call in your business processes. The following options are now available for you to use with Dell Warranties:

  • Warranty
    • GET Asset Details - Gets all Dell asset details;
    • GET Asset Header - Get headers of the Dell asset;
    • GET Asset Summary - Gets a summary view of Dell asset information;
    • GET Asset Warranty - Gets all Dell Warranty information for an asset;
