In Service Manager an asset is any resource that has value and needs tracking. Assets are grouped together as asset types. Some examples of asset types are:-
- Desktops
- Laptops
- Smart phones
- Software
- Printers
Assets can be linked to requests and each other. In a new instance of Hornbill the Configuration manager role can administer assets and asset types.
