Asking A Question

A question asked in an activity stream will be announced to users who have access to the activity stream, like a normal post. The users can either provide their own answer or vote on an existing answer if they feel that the best answer has already been provided. Answers with the most votes work their way to the top of the list. The person that posted the original question also has the option to select which of the provided answers or solutions worked for them.

  • As with a post, a user can utilise Wiki Markup, embed content, add sentiment and mention other users in the question they are asking, details of all options can be found in the Post link in the related articles section above.
  • Once a Question is posted, users can provide Answers in the same way they would add a Comment to a Post. As with a Comment, An Answer can utilise Wiki Markup, embed content, add sentiment and mention other users
  • Users can provide Answers in their chosen language, and through the Hornbill Translate capabilities, other users can translate and see the answers in their language.
